Lindy 1 - Charleston

• Lindy 1 is the introduction to Lindy Hop course. September is all about Charleston.

If you want to meet new people, learn a fun skill, connect to history and be part of a modern community through this uniquely US art form. This 4 week progressive class is for you!

Lindy is the original swing dance created by the Black American communities in NY, primarily Harlem. This amazing art form transcends time and is as relevant a pastime as ever."

Stay for the social dance where you can mingle, dance, and make new friends!

Every Thursday 7:45-10 pm anyone and everyone is welcome to dance!

• This is a great opportunity for you to practice your social skills; by asking people to dance, introducing yourself to new and interesting people.

We will be dancing and hanging out to dj'd music!

Many people who show up already know eachother, but we love to meet new people and help them learn to dance, so don't be afraid when you see groups congregating. They already friends!

Nightly Schedule:

• 5:30-6:30 - Lindy 2
• 6:45-7:45 - Lindy 1
• 7:45-10 pm - open social dance!
• 10 - 12 - ????

Parking will be difficult! There is limited on the street parking but there are many parking structures nearby.

We definitely encourage you to decrease your driving and thus we advise utilizing the light rail from the west or the east. You get into the social dance for $3 if you use pay in cash at the door and use public transit!
